Safeguarding Consultancy services
We partner with a wide range of organisations, providing specialised expertise, objective oversight, critical feedback, and support for refreshing policies, procedures, systems, or processes.
We understand that safeguarding is not only everyone’s responsibility but also the right thing to do.

What we Offer
Safeguarding Adults Boards (SABs)
We collaborate with Safeguarding Adults Boards (SABs) to strengthen safeguarding practices and improve outcomes for at-risk groups. Our services include developing new pathways, leading Safeguarding Adult Reviews (SARs), conducting quality assurance audits, and carrying out in-depth analyses of safeguarding-related issues.
A key focus of our work is co-production—ensuring that service users’ voices are central to the process. We facilitate service user input into audits, SARs, and policy writing, making sure their experiences shape the solutions and improvements we implement.
By learning from past experiences and integrating service user perspectives, we help SABs translate lessons into actionable insights. These findings are then incorporated into multi-agency staff training, driving enhanced practice and more effective safeguarding outcomes.
Independent Providers
We work with independent providers to improve systems, support staff in care planning, enhance the quality of mental capacity assessments, and develop policies, procedures, and systems that foster best practice.
Safeguarding in Organisations
Recent high-profile scandals and exposés have highlighted the importance of safeguarding and increased public, political, and media scrutiny. It’s crucial for organisations to foster full stakeholder confidence in their safeguarding approaches. Not only does this safeguard vulnerable groups (including children and adults at risk), but it also mitigates reputational risks for organisations.
Research from Safeguarding Adults Reviews (SARs) and Domestic Abuse Related Death Reviews (formally Domestic Homicide Reviews) often points out missed opportunities to prevent abuse, neglect, and even tragic outcomes such as murder or suicide. We aim to ensure that your organisation is not only proactive in safeguarding but is also praised in reviews, rather than criticised.

Partnering for Better Outcomes
We collaborate with a wide range of partner organisations to enhance the safety and quality of services provided —such as Children’s Services, Adult Social Care, Mental Health Services, Anti-Social Behaviour teams, Domestic Abuse services, Disability Hate Crime initiatives, and Health & Wellbeing agendas. Strengthening these links can significantly improve outcomes for disadvantaged groups.
Building Robust Safeguarding Systems
The journey to becoming a mature safeguarding organisation involves a thorough review of your strategic and operational responses to safeguarding. We examine how your organisation addresses its safeguarding responsibilities at all levels, assessing the effectiveness of existing arrangements.
We also focus on your current policies, procedures, systems, and governance structures, evaluating how these work in practice and whether they translate effectively at the front line. Our aim is to help create safeguarding systems that are robust, proactive, and capable of responding to the needs of those at risk.
We work collaboratively across multi-agency partnerships to ensure that the welfare of children, young people, and adults at risk of abuse or neglect is safeguarded and promoted in all areas of your organisation’s work.
