Tiered risk assessment was the focus and how we can use it as a practical tool to make safeguarding responses more proportionate, timely, and ultimately more person-centred.
We often talk about “bringing the team around the adult” and “multi agency collaboration” This training reminded me just how crucial that is. Safeguarding Adult Reviews (SARs) have shown time and again the risks of siloed working and the tragic consequences when early signs are missed or not shared.
Now, with a shared framework and approach, we’re no longer limited to our own organisation’s reach. We can go further creating a shared language of risk and a common purpose across boundaries. The ripple effect from training safeguarding leads is real. They’ll go on to embed this work, cascade learning, and influence practice across their teams and systems.
Feeling proud of what’s possible when we come together around a shared safeguarding vision.
