Our first joint training on All age Exploitation led by Kristy for the Oldham Safeguarding Adults Board

So proud to share the success of our first joint training on All age Exploitation led by me for the Oldham Safeguarding Adults Board with colleagues from the Oldham Safeguarding Children Partnership this week.

This innovative session brought together professionals from the NHS and social care to explore some of today’s most pressing safeguarding challenges. County lines, modern slavery, cuckooing, exploitation, and trauma through a truly integrated lens.

What made this training stand out? It was the rich collaboration between adult and children’s services, sharing insights, learning from each other’s approaches, and strengthening the joint response needed to protect people across the life course.

The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Attendees praised the practical focus, the openness of discussion, and the value of learning alongside colleagues from other sectors.

We’re already planning the next session. Because this is how safeguarding should be. Connected, collaborative, and locality focused.
