A consistent theme emerging from the review is the influence of the life course as a critical backdrop to later vulnerability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Women\u2019s health needs are frequently overlooked or normalised, particularly where individuals do not actively seek or advocate for support. Over time, this can contribute to unmet need, preventable deterioration and increased safeguarding risk in later life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is a clear need to reframe how women\u2019s health is understood and responded to across the life course. Moving away from episodic, reactive responses towards earlier recognition, prevention and system-wide responsibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This has important implications for safeguarding practice, commissioning, and service design, particularly in relation to prevention, inclusion health and addressing cumulative disadvantage.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Read original post on LinkedIn This is a timely and important reflection on hidden harm and intersectional risk.
